SGS pre-shipment inspection
SGS pre-shipment inspection is mandatory for imports into Cameroon. We arrange it for every container at loading and send you the inspection report with the shipping documents. There is nothing for you to organise at this stage.
Ports and transit
- Douala: Cameroon's main port, for all our products, and gateway to Chad and the Central African Republic.
- Kribi: deep-water port in the south of the country, for all our products.
- Transit: about 24–28 days with the fastest service, depending on the carrier.
- Incoterms: CIF Douala or CIF Kribi by default, CFR and FOB on request.
Documents and sanitary control
- Health or veterinary certificate from the competent authority of the origin country.
- SGS pre-shipment inspection report.
- Certificate of origin, invoice, packing list and bill of lading.
- BESC (electronic cargo tracking note), issued before the vessel sails.
- French or English labelling, temperature recorder on request.
- In Cameroon, MINEPIA issues the import authorisation for animal products, and ANOR may require a certificate of conformity depending on the product. The importer obtains the authorisations; we confirm the requirements with them before each loading.
How to order
- Tell us the product, size, volume and port (Douala or Kribi).
- We send a firm offer, valid for a few days.
- Irrevocable letter of credit at sight or bank transfer (TT), according to the terms agreed in each contract.
- We arrange the SGS inspection and loading, and send the documents before the vessel arrives.

Do you arrange the mandatory SGS inspection?
Yes. We have every container inspected by SGS before loading and send you the report with the shipping documents.
Do you ship poultry to Cameroon?
No, we do not offer frozen poultry for Cameroon. Our poultry offers cover other West African markets such as Ghana.
What is the minimum order?
One full container. A reefer can combine several compatible frozen products.
Which documents are needed to clear customs in Douala or Kribi?
The origin health certificate, SGS inspection report, certificate of origin, full commercial set and BESC, plus the MINEPIA import authorisation obtained by the importer.
How long is the transit?
About 24–28 days with the fastest service, depending on the carrier, loading port and arrival port.
